Abstract
PURPOSE:To increase fatigue strength by hitting the surface of aluminum, etc. extruded and clad on a heated steel core with small particles of solid and hardening by cold working. CONSTITUTION:A steel wire (a) sent out from a feeding device 1 is heated by a heating device 4. This is passed through an extrusion machine 5 and clad with aluminum or aluminum alloy. The aluminum clad steel wire (b) is then cooled and passed through a blasting machine 7, and the surface of aluminum is hardened by blasting sand grains or small particles of metal on the steel wire (b). Thus, high fatigue strength can be obtained.
