PURPOSE:To enable carrying in a down-end state without causing thermal deformation by carrying a hot coil which is carried to a cooling yard rotating in a down-end state. CONSTITUTION:A strip 12 rolled by a finish rolling mill 11 is cooled on a hot run table 13 while being carried, and coiled by a coiler 14. This hot coil 15 is taken out from the coiler 14 and loaded on rollers 27 of a cradle roller 27 device 18 provided on a coil conveyor 17 by a coil car 16 in a down-end state. When the conveyor 17 is driven by a device 25, each chain link 21 moves in the direction of carrying. At the same time, a pinion gear 28 rotates against a rack 29 to rotate the roller 27, and the coil is carried while rotating on its own axis. When the coil is cooled to a temperature, it is transferred to a cooling yard by a crane 19.
