PURPOSE:To prevent occurrence of a fault due to delay of operation of a brake, by simplifing the constitution of a brake mechanism of a rotary table on which an information recording carrier is loaded. CONSTITUTION:Brake arms 30a, 30b are formed in the shape of L, respectively, also each one end is axially supported by a shaft 31 so as to be freely turnable, and the arms 30a, 30b are positioned so as to be symmetrical to the shaft 31. To the other ends of the arms 30a, 30b, brake shoes 32a, 32b are installed, and they contact with a turning force transfer part 17a of a feed reel table 17 and a turning force transfer part 18a of a take-up reel table 18, respectively. Between projection parts of the arms 30a, 30b, a brake spring 33 is stretched and bridged. Accordingly, tension of the spring 33 can be operated as brake force on the turning force transfer parts 17a, 18a of the reel tables 17, 18 through the shoes 32a, 32b.
