Abstract
PURPOSE:To make it possible to directly mount the flanged part of the exothermic body by constituting a cylindrical heater by an exothermic body having a positive temperature coefficient mainly composed of a crystalline resin and conductive particles, in a device heating sucked air at the time of starting at low temperature. CONSTITUTION:A PTC exothermic body 18 of a positive temperature coefficient is positioned at the downstream side of a throttle valve 101 on the primary side. Simultaneously with the introduction of a gaseous mixture into a suction manifold 12, suction and heating are performed. Therefore, the PTC exothermic body is formed into a cylindrical form having a flange 181 at the upper end, and assembled in a heat insulator 14. The PTC exothermic body 18 is mainly composed of a crystalline resin and conductive particles. For example, the crystalline resin is molten, and carbon black particles are added thereto and kneaded. Then, the kneaded substance is pulverized, and a glass fiber blended thermoplastic polyester resin is blended in the kneaded substance. This blended substance is placed in a die and heated and molded to form electrode layers 30 and 32 by plating.
