Abstract

PURPOSE:To complete the treatment of the inside of metallic vessels such as fuel tanks for automobiles completely and efficiently while making one turn by fitting said vessels on the outside circumference of a rotating body and rotating the same. CONSTITUTION:A rotating body 1 consisting of an inside cylinder 2 and an outside cylinder 3 of a regualr dodecahedral-square pillar shape are supported by a pair of pipe materials 5, 6 connecting a revolving shaft 4 and the inside surfaces 2a of the cylinder 2. Treating liquid 16 such as aq. phosphate soln, is supplied into a space 9 through a supply pipe 26, the space of the shaft 4 and the above- mentioned materials 5, 6 by means of a pump 26 from a tank 24, and about half this space is kept filled. A metallic vessel W to be treated is set in the position A by means of a lever 22 with a spring of a mounting jig 17. When the body 1 rotates in the arrow direction and the vessel W arrives at the position B, the liquid 16 enters the inside of the vessel W through a cylinder part 18, and while it goes to the position D, the internal treatment is completed. While the vessel W moves further and returns to the position A, the liquid 16 in the vessel W is discharged into the space 9a through the cylinder part 18.
