Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain a highly efficient filter medium which is excellent in filtration characteristic, easy to manufacture, also high in reliability and can be formed easily, by performing the sheet-making of pulp which has mixed with an organic fibrous fibril and glass microwool in a fixed ratio.
CONSTITUTION: A filter medium is obtained by performing the sheet-making of pulp having 50W600cc (desirably 100W450cc), which consisting of 40W95wt% (desirably 45W90wt%) organic fibrous fibril consisting of linear aromatic polyester such as polyethylene terephthalate, etc., and 60W5wt% (desirably 55W 10wt%) glass microwool. Also, as for the mean fiber diameter of said fibril, 0.5W5μm is desirable, and as for the porosity of the filter medium, 0.87W0.98 (desirably 0.90W0.97) is desirable. In this regard, as far as the manufacturing method of pulp is concerned, an beating method with reduced amt. of alkali, a polymer-blend dissolving method, a splitting method, etc. are desirable.
