Abstract
PURPOSE:To ensure that printed materials are delivered to a box orderly without any damage by a method wherein when the printed materials on a receiving plate in a stacking device reach a predetermined number, the succeeding printed materials are received by a partition plate and the receiving plate is lowered to deliver the printed materials thereon into the box, followed by returning the receiving plate to its original position. CONSTITUTION:The succeeding printed materials 24 discharged from a conveyor 2 are preliminarily pressed by a pressing conveyor 3, and are smoothly fed on top of the printed materials 24 stacked on the receiving plate 22. When the number of the printed materials 24 stacked on the plate 22 reaches a predetermined number, an auxiliary partition plate 17 is rotated to a position 17b to press one side of the top of the printed materials 14, thereby forming a pocket part C for passing the partition plate 13 forwardly. Then, after forwardly moving the partition plate 13 to a position 13b, and it is lowered in accordance with the increase in the amount of the printed materials 24 stacked thereon. In this case, the receiving plate 22 is rapidly lowered to the lower limit position 22b, then it is retracted to a retracted position 22c, and the printed materials 24 on the plate 22 are transferred into the box 21. Thereafter, the plate 22 is returned to its original position 22a, receives the printed materials 24 stacked on the partition plate 13 and the stacking on the receiving plate 22 is conducted until the number of the stacked materials reaches the predetermined number.
