Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a receiver which is inexpensive and also high in its selectively, by using a surface acoustic wave amplifier operated by a parametric amplifying action, as an RF amplifier, and also obtaining pump electric power from a PLL circuit controlled by a reference oscillator of a channel selection PLL circuit. CONSTITUTION:A signal received by a receiving antenna 1 is supplied to a surface acoustic wave amplifier 12 through a matching circuit 13. On the other hand, to the surface acoustic wave amplifier 12, an output from a voltage control oscillator 20 of a PLL circuit 16, whose frequency is controlled by DC bias voltage from a DC bias source 15, and an output of a reference oscillator 25 constituting a PLL circuit 6 for selecting a receiving channel is supplied as pump electric power, therefore, the surface acoustic wave amplifier 12 executes a parametric amplifying action. Subsequently, the receiving signal which has been tuned and amplified with high selectivity by the amplifier is supplied to a mixer 5 through a matching circuit 14, is converted to an intermediate frequency by an output of a voltage control oscillator 17 of the PLL circuit 6 for selecting a channel, and is led to a following intermediate frequency filter 7.
