Abstract

PURPOSE: To prepare a composition, containing a fat or oil, and capable of preparing easily a substitute product for livestock farming, by emulsifying or solubilizing the fat or oil in a polyhydroxy compound containing a protein or a decomposed product thereof.
CONSTITUTION: a polyhydroxy compound, e.g. propylene glycol, glycerol, sorbitol, glucose, fructose or starch syrup, containing a protein or decomposed product thereof, e.g. sodium caseinate, soybean protein, skimmilk powder, whey powder, egg white, meat powder and a product thereof decomposed with an enzyme or treated with an acid, or an agueous solution thereof is kept at a temperature of the melting point of an aminal or vegetable fat or oil or above. The animal or vegetable fat or oil, e.g. beef tallow, lard, soybean oil or cocout oil, kept at the melting point thereof or above is slowly added thereto while stirring and emulsified or solubilized.
