Abstract

PURPOSE:To cut off a printing paper as a receipt and connect easily the printing paper after cutting, by a method wherein a printing apparatus using a printing paper for journal is provided with a plurality of tooth portions, and adhesive agent applying means is attached to one of the tooth portions. CONSTITUTION:A paper cutter 12 comprising tooth portions 12a, 12b arranged in approximately ?-shape for cutting papers is fixed to a printing unit 2 above a feed path of a printing paper 8, and adhesive agent applying means 13 of foamed soft material is attached to the tooth portion 12b. When the printing paper 8 is used for a journal and a receipt is requested, a data printing portion 14 of the printing paper 8 is pulled in arrow A direction and the printing paper 8 is cut by the tooth portion 12a, and then the data printing portion 14 is further pulled forwards and cut by the tooth portion 12b thereby a receipt 15 is cut off. The printing paper 8 after cutting off the receipt 15 is bonded by overlapping an end 8b having an adhesive agent supplied from the adhesive agent applying means 13 with another end 8b.
