Abstract
PURPOSE:With cylinder block of V-engine, to obtain easy and highly precise formation of cylinder head spliced face which slopes down outward from both ends of basic work face by making cylinder block upper center to form such face parallel with crank case lower face. CONSTITUTION:Lower part of V-engine cylinder block 2 is extended to consolidated crank case 3, of which lower portion is formed to a haif-ring shaped shaft bearing 41 which supports upper half circular portion of crank shaft journal part 4a being spliced with bearing cap at spliced face A. Spliced face A at lower portion of crank case is formed on level line face to pass through axis of journal part 4a. Upper face center of cylinder block is formed on basic work face B which runs in parallel with flitch face A and separated with a certain distance from the same. In this way, it is possible to form cylinder head spliced face C which slopes down outward from both ends of the above face B basing upon the same face, easily and with high precision accuracy.
