Abstract
PURPOSE:To easily detect pulse period with a simple circuit, by comparing and detecting a pulse period of an input pulse train and a reference pulse width set at a retriggerable timer with an FF circuit. CONSTITUTION:When the period of an input pulse train is longer than a refference period, a retriggerable timer 1 triggers the rise of an input pulse Tn-1 and the timer output becomes 1 from 0 at a certain time. Since no trigger is given during a period T1 by the timer 1, the output changes 1-0 after a reference time Tref. Thus, the timer output is 0 at the next input pulse Tn, 0 is stored in an FF3 to inform T1>Tref. If the period of input pulse train is shorter than the reference period, since the timer 1 is retriggered at a shorter period than the period Tref, the timer output remains logical 1. Thus, 1 is stored in the FF3 to inform that the input pulse period is shorter than the reference period Tref.
