PURPOSE:To improve the cavitation performance at the maximum flow region, by providing athrottle made of a tubular member having conical inner face in the suction path of a pump thereby preventing the cavitation vibration associated with the counter-flow at the partial flow region. CONSTITUTION:A throttle 6' is tubular as awhole having a tubular section 6a, where the inner face is formed into a conical face the diameter of which will increase toward the upstream side of the suction path 13. The inner diameter D0 of said throttle 6' is preferable to be 75-85% of the vane inlet diameter D1.
