Abstract

PURPOSE:To facilitate installation and enable long-term measurement by attaching two screening plates having plural holes to a rotation axis at an interval and receiving signals sent from a transmitter provided outside by a receiver through the holes. CONSTITUTION:Two screening plates 2, 2' having plural holes of a fixed pitch are attached to the outer circumference of a rotation axis 1 at a proper interval opposedly to each other. A light source, a transmitter 3 of laser etc. and a receiver is provided on the axial line of the holes opposedly to each other with the screen plates 2, 2' between. Light emitted from the transmitter 3 enters into the receiver 4 through the screening plate 2, 2'. The change of amount of transmission is converted to angle of torsion of the rotation axis 1 by a converter 6 through a filter 5, and the torque is calculated by an arithmetic unit 13. The result is displayed on a recorder 9 or a indicator 8 through an amplifier 7. Accordingly, installation is made easy and long-term measurement can be performed.
