Abstract

PURPOSE:To recover the heat to utilize efficiently, from fluidized medium drained out of a furnace by controlling the height of fluidized bed, by providing an air preheating chamber in which medium drain pipes to drain fluidized medium out of a furnace are provided. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of drain pipes 2a, 2b, and 2c for draining fluid medium are respetively connected to the side wall of a body 1 of fluidized furnace, and the other ends of the pipes are connected to a medium reservoir 3. An air preheating chamber 5 is formed by shrouding the whole length of a casing 4 of the above-mentioned drain pipes 2a, 2b, and 2c, and the heat discharged from drain pipes 2a, 2b, and 2c is recovered by the air fed via a piping 15, when the fluidized medium is drained. The preheated air is fed into an air chamber 10 of a body 1 of fluidized furnace by a preheated air pipe 16 and is utilized to keep the temperature of a fluidized bed 12 high, or to heighten the temperature of the bed.
