PURPOSE:To construct a compact assembly shop of high working efficiency used for assembling large-sized pressure vessels, etc., by installing material transmitting rails in combination of radial arrangement and concentric circles. CONSTITUTION:Space surrounding the center portion inside a circular shop building is divided into working zones; a transfer zone, assembly zone, standby zone, etc. Inside these zones, various rails are provided; a prefabricated parts bring-in line 2, a switching line 4, a transfer line 5, a bypass line 6, main lines 7, standby lines 10, 11, 12 and a take-out line 14. Prefabricated or semi-fabricated parts are assembled and transmitted on cars which travel on these rails. An over head crane 1 which rotates around a switch table 3 is used to assemble prefabricated parts. A device 13 is a platform that is equipped with a parts processing with a parts processing machine X and is rotatable also around the switch table 3.
