Abstract
PURPOSE: An electrical insulating coating compound suppressing formation of peroxides, capable of synthesizing and baking a varnish without danger of explosion and fear even its addition at high temperature, obtained by using a solvent prepared by adding a small amount of an antioxidant to a specific glycol diether compound.
CONSTITUTION: (B) 10W500ppm antioxidant (preferably a phenol type antioxidant such as 2,6-di-tertiary-p-cresol, etc.) is added to (A) a glycol diether compound (e.g., diethylene glycol dimethyl ether, etc.) shown by the formula (R1 and R2 are 1W6C alkyl or phenyl; n is 2 or 3; x is 1W3) to give a solvent, to which (C) a resin component (e.g., polyester resin, etc.) is added, to give the desired electrical insulating coating compound. Preferably the blending amount of the component A is 3W30wt% in the case of a highly concentrated electrical insulating coating compound for melt coating, and more than that when it is used as a solution type electrical insulating coating compound for coating at normal temperature.
