Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the condensation of steam and to perform the continuous measurement of uncondensed gaseous component, by measuring the concentration of steam and next, measuring the uncondensed gaseous component after diluting the terrestrial heat vapor by the gas for dilution. CONSTITUTION:A sample of terrestrial heat vapor is passed through an introducing pipe 1 heated at a prescribed temperature necessary for preventing the condensation of steam and is entered a mixer 2 kept at the same temperature. Then, said sample is mixed with a prescribed quantity of gas for dilution (air or gaseous nitrogen) in the mixer 2 and is diluted. The regulation of a flow rate of the sample is carried out by a valve 2 incorporated in the mixer 2. The sample of diluted vapor from the mixer 2 is entered a heat conductivity detector 3 and the concentration of steam is obtained. The sample is then entered a detector 4 for uncondensed gaseous component and each concentration of this uncondensed gaseous component is measured. In such a manner, the condensation of steam is prevented bylowering the partial pressure of steam in the terrestrial heat vapor and the continuous mesurement of the uncondensed gaseous component is achieved by diluting the terrestrial heat vapor by the gas for dilution.
