Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the noise from generating with pads by a structure wherein irregular surfaces are formed at the end surface of a piston and the inside surface of a caliper jaw so as to suppress the vibration with various frequencies. CONSTITUTION:In order to apply the brakes, two sheets of the pads 3 are pressed against the both side surfaces at peripheral part of a rotor 1 by the force of the piston equipped in a caliper. At this time, the end surface of the piston 5 and the inside surface of the caliper jaw 4a to press the pads 3 respectively are dented except a part, against which the back metals 6 of the pads 3 abut at the part of the pads 3 rendering to be the loop or near the loop of vibration of the pads 3. In other words, the end surface of the piston 5 abutting against the back metal of the inner side pad is dented except four circumferential abutting parts 7 and the inside surface of the caliper jaw 4a abutting against the back metal of the outer side pad is dented at the intermediate part 8 except the upper and lower parts.
