Abstract
PURPOSE: An insecticide, containing a dichloromaleimide derivative as an active constituent, having improved volatility at ordinary temperature, and exhibiting improved insecticidal effect on mosquitoes without using a heating means.
CONSTITUTION: An insecticide containing a dichloromaleimide derivative expressed by formulaI(R is 1W5C alkyl) as an active constituent. N-methyl-2,3- dichloromaleimide, N-ethyl-2,3-dichloromaleimide, etc. may be specifically cited as the compound expressed by formulaI, and the compound expressed by formulaIis obtained easily by reacting 2,3-dichloromaleic anhydride of formula II with an amine of the formula RNH2 under heating. The concentration of the active constituent expressed by formulaIis usually selected from the range of 100W400ppm, and the insecticide is used alone or as a solution or spray.
