Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce curvature and strain by joining a couple of disk base materials together while interposing spacers made of materials, which has the same coefficient of thermal expansion and coefficient of hygroscopic thermal expansion with the disk base materials, at its inner and outer circumferential parts. CONSTITUTION:Cast acrylic materials are used for disk base materials 7 and while a couple of disk base materials 7 are set with optical recording layers 9 in, the center holes 8 of the disk base materials 7 are aligned to the center hole 8 of an inner circumferential spacer 14 made of the same cast acrylic with the disk materials 7. Further the outside of the disk base materials 7 and that of the outer circumferential spacer 13 made of the same material with the disk base material are aligned to each other, thus joining both the base materials together with a ultraviolet-curing adhesive with excellent operability while the joint surface has less setting contraction.
