Abstract

NEW MATERIAL:The titled compound shown by the formula I [R'is a group shown by the formula II (* means that I may be marked by a radioisotope) linked to the 2-. 6-, or 8-position of purine ring, etc.; R1 is amino, etc. when R' is linked to the 2- or 8-position of purine ring; R2 and R3 are H, phosphoric acid group, etc.; n is 0W2] and its salt.
EXAMPLE: 8-(3-Iodine-4-hydroxyphenethylamino)adenosine-5'-phosphate.
USE: A reagent for radioimmunoassay, e.g., adenosine monophosphate, etc. A compound shown by the formula I(n=2) is useful as a reagent for B-proteinassay.
PROCESS: A novel compound shown by the formula III (R is a group shown by the formula IV linked to the 2-, 6-, or 8-position of purine ring) or its salt is reacted with an aqueous solution of an alkali iodized with iodine in the presence or absence of an alkali iodide marked by radioactive iodine, to give titled compound shown by the formula I.
