Abstract

CONSTITUTION: Molten glass is poured in an unsplit mold 6 having an internal spiral recess or protrusion, molded with a spectacle mold 18 and a plunger 19, and solidified by cooling. A hexagonal rod 17 is then rotated to the right. As the rod 17 is rotated, the external spiral protrusion 13 of a rotary shaft 12 is fixed into the internal spiral recess 15 of a support 14, and a bottom mold 10 rises spirally. Since the top of the mold 10 has an uneven pattern 11 fixed into the bottom of the resulting glass vessel 5, the rotating force of the mold 10 is transferred to the vessel 5 through the pattern 11.
