Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve processing properties of a heat exchanging element and to enhance incombustibility and durability of the same, by utilizing an inorganic sheet consisting of a particular amount of cellulose pulp and a particular amount of aluminum hydroxide as the base material of the heat exchanging element. CONSTITUTION:In a heat exchanging element having a porous structure imparted with hygroscopicity and strength which is fabricated by laminating fluted substrates having corrugations and plate-like liner substrates alternately one upon another, an inorganic sheet consisting of 5-50wt. parts of cellulose pulp and 95-50wt. parts of aluminum hydroxide is used as the base material of the heat exchanging element. A heat exchanging element having a porous structure is manufactured by laminating a plurality of units consisting of the fluted substrate 2 and a liner substrate 1 bonded to each other.
