Abstract

PURPOSE:To contrive to enhance the accuracy of a molded article by a method wherein an injection molding machine is so controlled in response to the prediction of an abnormal condition in such a manner that each detection signal approaches the optimum condition which is previously stored through a learning mode, in controlling an injection molding machine by a microcomputer. CONSTITUTION:In the learning mode, the optimum conditions detected by each senser are stored in the microcomputer CPU by depressing a push button 14 for learning when the molded article is confirmed to be satisfactory. In a monitor mode, the process data composed of signals fed from the sensers are processed according to an algorism previously sotred in an ROM, thereby predicting an abnormal condition. Based on the signals, the microcomputer CPU controls the molding machine so as to attain the optimum conditions stored in the learning mode. For example, in the case of short molding, flash or the like, the detection signal of a sensor S6 is analyzed by the microcomputer CPU according to a predetermined algolism, and when an abnormal condition is predicted, a control signal is generated to control the dwell pressure after injection by operating a proportional control valve, a servo and like.
