Abstract

PURPOSE:To decrease the unbalance amount in burst signals without adding a burst synchronizing bit to the trust signals, by converting a digital signal into the absolute value of multivalue symbols of a plurality. CONSTITUTION:When a code of digital signal to be transmitted is 1000011101, since the 1st bit is 1, this digital signal is converted into a multivalue according to the table by 2-bit. The absolute value of signal in multivalue is 2, 0, 1, 3, 1. Since the 1st bit is 1, positive sign is given to the 1st symbol. Thus, the symbol is +2. The other symbols are given by negative sign when the average level of the sum of the symbols preceeding is positive, and by positive, when negative. When the code of digital signal to be transmitted is 0010011110, since the 1st bit is 0, 0 and 1 are inverted each other, this inverted signal is in multivalue by 2-bit and sign is given to each symbol with the similar operation.
