Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a light transmission line sheet which is suited to a mass production with a high yield of nondefective products, by irradiating the electron beams an then ultraviolet rays to a transparent plastic sheet impregnated with a monomer along a light transmission line to be formed and then polymerizing the monomer. CONSTITUTION:A sheet 2 is produced by impregnating a monomer 22 which can be polimerized with irradiation of the electron beams and ultraviolet rays into a transparent plastic sheet 21. The electron beams E and B are irradiated in parallel to the sheet 2 to from a stripe-shaped polymer 23 in the direction of sheet thickness. Then the ultraviolet rays U.V. are irradiated on both surfaces of the sheet 2 to form a polymer 24 of the monomers existing on the surface and its vicinity. Finally the monomer 22 which is not polymerized yet is removed by heating up the sheet 2 under reduced pressure and the like method. In such way, an optical transmission line sheet 1 having number of light transmission channels 24 which are enclosed by the vertical and horizontal sections is obtained.
