Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the size and thickness of a device by providing two rotation transmission gears which engage frictionally with a reel shaft engaging with a tape reel, and by running a tape at a high or low speed in accordance with the mode of torque of rotation supplied to the rotation transmission gears. CONSTITUTION:At the bottom part of a reel shaft 1a, a flange part 1aa is formed and at the intermediate part of the reel shaft 1a, a ratchet wheel 22 is stuck; and between the ratchet wheel 22 and a cap 1ab, an arm 32 forming part of a reel rotation stopping mechanism is fitted loosely to the reel shaft 1a. Between the arm 32 and cap 1ab, prescribed frictional torque is applied to the arm 32 by a coil spring 34, and between the flange part 1aa and ratchet wheel 22, rotation transmission gears 1b and 1c are provided concentrically with the reel shaft 1a. Between the rotation gears 1b and 1c, a coil spring 35 is inserted by being pressed to press the gears 1b and 1c against the side surfaces of the latchet wheel 22 and flange part 1aa through annular friction members 36 and 37.
