PURPOSE:To facilitate the processing of a terminal by performing confirmation by inserting a customer's card into a secret code collator, by storing the result in a storage part, and by reading it only when an input equipment side requires it to complete transaction. CONSTITUTION:From the control part 12 of an online teller's machine (OTM)4, a card shutter opening command is outputted and sent to a secret code collator 4, and card insertion guidance is displayed on a display device 14, so that a customer inserts a card into a card reader 15 by looking at the display. The card reader 15 sends card data to the control part 12 for the account number and title data OTM4 of the read card, and secret code data is stored in a secret code memory 16. A secret number by ten keys 17 and the contents of the memory 16 are compared mutually by a comparator 18 and a flip-flop 19 is turned on and off in accordance with their coincidence and dissidence.
