Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve ignitability and combustibility of fuel, by supplying atomized auxiliary fuel at a higher rate when the engine temperature is low than at the time when the engine is warmed up.
CONSTITUTION: Quantity VQ of fuel injected per unit time is calculated byproviding an engine speed detecting means 32 which produces an output signal N corresponding to the number of revolutions caused per unit time, and multiplying the signal N by an output signal VQ1. The injection quantity VQ of fuel is applied to an addition circuit 34, which is turn adds an output signal VW of an engine temperature detecting means 35 to an output signal VQ of a multiplication circuit 33 and applies the sum of the two signals to an amplifying circuit 36 as a control signal V1 corresponding to the final quantity of main fuel injected per unit time. Resultantly, electric energy supplied to an amplified and oscillated ultrasonic oscillator 13 becomes proportional to the quantity VQ of main fuel injected per unit time so that the quantity of auxiliary fuel supplied to an intake passage 4 can be also made proportional to that of main fuel.
