PURPOSE:To obtain a loop detetor having the high reliability and high accuracy, by comparing the number of frames with which the printing are ended and the number of frames that are fed to a processor based on a cut mark and detecting the loop. CONSTITUTION:When the printing is carried out to the paper 1, a cut mark is given to the paper 1 by a cut marker 2 and with the signal given from a controller 27. The cut mark printed on the paper 1 is detected, and the signal is applied to the controller 27 by a cut mark sensor 5. Then a stocker 15 is installed between the marker 2 and the sensor 5. The count number of the signal with which the cut mark is given to the paper 1 led to the stocker 15 is compared with the count number of the signal of the cut mark caused by the paper 1 led out of the stocker 15 through the controller 27. Then the quantity of a loop 1b which is formed by the paper 1 within the stocker 15 is compared with the count number of the cut mark numbers to obtain the number of frames. Based on this number of frames, the loop is detected.
