Abstract

PURPOSE: To permit the transmission of rotation without phase shifting by providing a means by which the clamping of one spring is released and then rotation is transmitted to the other spring to a clutch device using two wind clamping springs having different winding directions.
CONSTITUTION: When turning an input shaft 2 in one direction (counterclock wise), both springs 11 and 12 having different winding directions are wound and clamped, and the rotation of the input shaft 2 is transmitted to a worm gear 9 and a pulley 10. When stopping the inner end of the spring 11 at this time, the clamping of the spring 11 is released and the transmission of rotation to the gear 9 is stopped. Also, when stopping the inner end of the spring 12, the transmission of rotation to the pulley 10 is likewise stopped. In such a device, a holding ring 15 is loosely fitted on the spring 12 to realize an expected purpose. The holding ring 15 is made up by providing a groove 15a receiving the bent rising part 12a of the spring 12 and a notch 15c to be fitted with a clutch switching part 14.
