Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent lowering of peeling strength between the base paper and resin layer, by heat treating so that the surface temperature of the base paper becomes 80-170 deg.C immediately before extruding and shielding thermoplastic resin on the corona discharged base paper. CONSTITUTION:After executing corona discharge treatment on the base paper, the paper is heated by heat roll, hot-wire heater, hot blast, dielectric heating and infrared so that the surface temperature becomes 80-170 deg.C to set the bone dry moisture of base paper to 5-8%. Thermoplastic resin is extruded and shielded on the base paper by using a melt extruding machine to manufacture the photographic supporting material. As the said thermoplastic resin, it can be used if it is softened and provides film formed resin and polimerizating substance made of homopolymer of alpha-olefines, copolymer of two or more of alpha-olefines, etc.
