Abstract

PURPOSE: To remove the moisture in a cracked gas efficiently and prevent the erosion in valve parts by removing the mist in the cracked gas in the waste gas flow passage on the reaction vessel side from a pressure control valve of a heat treatment reaction vessel for org. sludge.
CONSTITUTION: A cracked gas contg. mist 16 introduced from a reaction vessel 4 into a mist remover 15 by passing through a cracked gas flow passage 13 is changed of flow upward by a partition plate 17, and is introduced into a demister part 14 consisting of perforated plates installed in the upper part thereof. While it passes through the intricate pores in this demister part 14, only the mist in the cracked gas is adsorbed and separated. The mist falls as liquid drops and is stored. The water adsorbed in the demister part 14 and oversaturated and condensed enters the 1st storage part 18, thence it is discharged through a steam trap 20. The water formed by dewing just before a valve 12 enters the 2nd storage part 19, where it joins with the water of the part 18, and this water is discharged through the trap 20.
