Abstract

PURPOSE:To facilitate an easy maintenance, by supporting a conveying roll device so as to rotate the roll toward a chute with its empty weight and then providing an adding device that applies the roll pressing force to an original. CONSTITUTION:A support member 4 of a conveying roll device 3 is supported to a frame body 6 by a support member 5 and in freely rotatably vertical to the feeding direction of an original. A rotary shaft 8 of a roll 7 is connected to a drive source 9 via a gear mechanism 10. The roll 7 tilts to the feeding direction of original to give a correct feed of the original to a platen belt 1 from a chute 2. A weight 11 is supported to the fulcrum freely movably in the far and near direction. At the same time, a mobile member 12a of a solenoid 12 engages a support member 4 via a link 13. For the engagement between the link 13 and the member 4, the member 4 is turned in the direction where the roll 7 is energized downward when the solenoid 12 is actuated.
