PURPOSE:To shorten a test time and to perform automatic equalizer adjustment free of a test error due to level variation, by setting the adjustment time of high-frequency-range compensation longer than other adjustment times. CONSTITUTION:A processing means 13 control a sensitivity varying circuit 4 and variable equalizers 5 and 6 for intermediate frequency and high frequency ranges to adjust the extents of compensation of sensitivity and frequency characteristics automatically. For the adjustment of sensitivity or intermediate-frequency-range compensation, a timer 17 is set to T1 or Tn, and for the adjustment of high- frequency-range compensation, the timer 17 is set to TH; those adjustment time are so set that T1 or TL<TH. Namely, low-frequency sections T1 and TL are shortened, and the high-frequency-range equalizer adjustment section TH is so set that the influence of level variation is not exerted. Consequently, a test time is shortened and automatic equalizer adjustment free of a test error due to the level variation is performed.
