Abstract

PURPOSE: To decrease the resistance of the sliding surfaces in a roller bearing when its rollers rotate by magnetizing the rollers and the inner race or outer race over their whole circumferential surfaces.
CONSTITUTION: Rollers 1 and the inner race 2 or outer race 3 are magnetized over their whole circumferential surfaces. In this case the surface magnetic pole of each roller 1 and that of the inner race 2 or outer race 3 are made to differ in polarity so that the rollers 1 rotate closely contacting with the inner race 2 or outer race 3 while keeping constant intervals therebetween. Thereby, the sliding resistance of the rollers 1 to the inner race 2 or outer race 3 can be reliably replaced by a rotational resistance. Accordingly, the rotational and sliding resistances of the rollers 1 can be largely decreased.
