Abstract

PURPOSE: To contrive to maintain and enhance adsorption capacity of an org. gas or the like by coating a surface of the adsorbing material with an air permeable nonvolatile org. substance to prevent scattering thereof due to vibration.
CONSTITUTION: A powder or a particulate material such as activated carbon or activated alumina is molded to a spherical shape or the like and an outer surface thereof is covered with a nonvolatile thin film such as a methyl cellulose with good air permeability to manufacture the adsorbing agent which adsorbs an org. gas or the like generated by opening and closing a switch contact point. Because the resulting adsorbing agent can maintain strength by said thin film, it is hardly broken by vibration and, because it can prevent the scattering, the adsorbing capacity thereof is not lowered. Further, the high adsorbing capacity is exhibited due to the air permeability of said thin film.
