Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a copied image with a solid black part reproduced at uniform density by forming an uneven rough surface having a specified form on the surface of a receptor to allow the receptor to show sufficient transfer performance under a wide range of conditions.
CONSTITUTION: A coating fluid prepared by dispersing an inorg. photoconductive substance such as calcined zinc oxide powder of large particle size together with a suitable binder, a solvent, a sensitizer, etc. is applied to the surface of a receptor, dried, and heat treated to form an uneven rough surface having 10W300μ top-top distance and ≥0.8μ top-bottom difference in height in the horizontal direction of the receptor surface. The surface of at least each bottom part is then coated with a substance such as resin having a low dielectric constant. When the resulting receptor is used, a copied image with superior solid black image reproducibility and high image density is obtd. even by a developing method using an insulating one-component developer.
