Abstract
PURPOSE: To efficiently coagulate and recover a high-molecular latex consisting of a thermoplastic polymer, by means of a conbination of specified precosses.
CONSTITUTION: A recovering liquid (hot water kept at a temperature for the formation of a coagulated latex particle) 7 is flowed down on the inner wall surface of coagulation chamber 6 in the form of a thin film, and at the same time a latex- coagulating agent is supplied at least as a fumy substance consisting of a droplet which falls down in accordance with Stokes' low, forming a coagulating atmosphere, which is kept in a temperature range for the formation of a coagulated latex particle. Then latex 1 is sprayed through a nozzle into the coagulation chamber 6 at a rate of about 5.7W20l/sec.m2, as a droplet of diameter ≤ about 2mm. After about 0.36W8wt% coagulating agent is absorbed in a resin of the latex, a latex particle which is a sphere similar to the droplet of the latex, is collected into recovering liquid 7, and then the coagulated latex particle obtained is recovered from the liquid 7.
