Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent the article from dropping to a floor by a method wherein each partition is inclined downwardly from the front side to the other side thereof in the article housing device in which the article to be housed can be introduced into a shelf, provided with multiple partitions arrayed in up-and-down and left and right directions, by means of a transport machine.
CONSTITUTION: The multistoried shelf 1 is provided with multiple partitions 2 in up-and-down and left and right directions. The partitions 2 are partitioned by vertical supporting pillars 3 and container supporting members 4 inclined downwardly from the front side to the other side thereof and stoppers 9 are secured at the vicinity of the ends of the container supporting members 4. A traveling rail and a traveling guide rail are provided lengthwisely at the bottom and top of each path 6 for the shelves which is formed between the opposing fronts 5 of the multistoried shelves 1.
