PURPOSE:To prevent ineffective printing by a method wherein a means actuating a head supporting body to the side of a pressure roller is provided in a specified place so that a thermal head is not caused to do rotating vibration around the pressure roller as a supporting point and matching in position of the pressure roller with the thermal head is made easy. CONSTITUTION:A guiding groove 12 is formed in a rising part 11 provided in the longitudinal direction of the head supporting body 4 and the part of bearing 13 of the pressure roller 14 is made to engage with the guiding groove 12, whereby the peripheral surface of the roller 14 is made capable of contacting with a group 10 of heating resistance elements. Around an angular axis 3 provided in a position separated by equal distance from the above contacting position are put compressed coil springs 15 as actuating means, and by these springs 15, a guiding body 2 and the head supporting body 4 are actuated in the direction of separation from each other.
