Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve a workability and reliability of the gas laser tube by a method wherein a metalic fine tube is applied to form a cathode lead pin which is also used as a gas discharge tube. CONSTITUTION:Glass capilary tube 10 is coaxially supported in the glass enclousre 9. Reflection mirror 11 is enclosed at the outer end of the tube 10 and a semipermeability reflection mirror 12 is enclosed at the other end. Anode terminal 13 is arranged at the fine capilary tube 10 and a cold Al cathode 14 is formed at the inner wall of the enclosure 9. Metalic fine tube 15 is attached to the enclosure 9 and connected to the cathode by cobal wire 16. Fine tube 15 is composed of cobal 15a and Cu 15b, and the cobal glass 9 is sealed at the part 15a. Gas discharge and gas enclosing are performed through the fine tube 15, and Cu 15b is press contacted under a cold condition, then cut off. The fine tube 15 is made as a cathode lead pin and a high voltage is applied between the cathode lead pin and the anode terminal 13. With this arrangement, a reliability and workability of the gas laser tube are improved and a size of the gas laser tube may be reduced.
