Abstract

PURPOSE: To decrease the flaws of a magnetic disc by making the displacing direction of a head support and the displacing direction of a blocking part same, slowly releasing the blocking of the head support and allowing the magnetic head to contact with the disc or detach therefrom at a low speed.
CONSTITUTION: When a plunger solenoid 15 is energized, a plunger 2 is attracted. In this case, the plunger 2 is slowly attracted by the air damper effect of a tyrelike damper 27. Therefore, the head 2 allows to contact with a flexible disc 1 at a low speed. When the solenoid 15 is deenergized, air is gradually sucked into the air chamber of the compressively deformed damper 27, and said damper 27 gradually restores the original shape. Therefore, air damper effect is created and the plunger 22 slowly resets. In this way, the contacting and detaching of the head 2 with and from the disc 1 are accomplished slowly by the damper effect of the tyrelike damper, the flaws produced in the disc 1 are decreased.
