Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent the occurrence of a color change due to an insoluble deposition of a dye in an ink by keeping the difference of a pH value between the pH of each color of ink and that of a recording sheet surface with in 2 when a multicolor of ink is ink-jet recorded.
CONSTITUTION: In an ink-jet recording method wherein an ink having each different color is allowed to spray out from each nozzle of a plurality of nozzles and each ink drop is deflected by means of electric field or electric charge in accordance with an output signal, thereby printing to the recording sheet; the pH difference between the pH value of each color of ink and that of the recording sheet surface is kept within 2. It is necessary to unify the ink of each color only to the acidic dye and the direct dye, or to the basic dye. Further, the pH control of the recording sheet, for instance, is performed by using a pH control agent such as acid, alkaline, buffer agent and the like as a later treatment during or after the step of a paper making.
