Abstract
PURPOSE: To provide a burner capable of burning fuel with a stable flame even if the concn. of oxygen is low, by forming parallel flame holes in two or more rows by disposing slit flame holes successively in one direction of the burner along the length of a slit, and forming oblique flame holes between these flame hole rows.
CONSTITUTION: Mixture of gas and air supplied via primary air inlet ports 1 and mixing pipes 2 is carried via a pressure equalizing section 3 to a flame hole section. This flame hole section is constituted by two rows of parallel flame holes 4 arranged along the length of a slit in parallel with the length of the burner and oblique flame holes 5 disposed between the above two rows of parallel flame holes 4 in the manner that they are inclined to the parallel flame holes 4. In this flame hole section, parallel flame 1 and oblique flame 2 are formed independently by the parallel flame hole 4 and oblique flame holes 5, respectively, when the concn. of oxygen is proper. However, as the concn. of oxygen becomes low and the combustion speed is lowered resultantly, these two flames 1, 2 are combined into a unitary flame 3. Therefore, it is enabled to keep on combusting gas in a stable manner without causing blow-off.
