Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve the durability of a spout and save refractory materials by disposing the high heat conductivity refractory materials built-in with cooling piping to one part of the entire part between the working lining material and outside shell forming a molten metal flow passage.
CONSTITUTION: A refractory structure 2 for cooling is provided between a working lining material 1 and an outside shell 7 to become a flow passage from molten metal. The structure 2 is a structure made by inserting a heat medium piping 3 for air, steam, water, etc. by a high heat conductivity refractory material 4. The reason for making the refractory material 4 high heat conductive lies in the need for this material to provide sufficient cooling functions and the use of this material as a safety lining material. Thereupon, it is desirable that this material 4 has durability and has conductivity of at least ≥10kcal/m.hr.degC. Thereby, cooling power is increased and the life of the spout is considerably prolonged.
