Abstract

PURPOSE: To vary settig time of detection for both a silent part and an amplifying part of a detection sensitivity setting amplifier by a microcomputer and in accordance with the variation of the travelling speed of a magnetic tape which is driven in a high speed.
CONSTITUTION: In the microcomputer CPU, the output pulses of the rotation detector TD are counted with every fixed time decided by the time intervals of the output pulses of the reference signal generator RP. According to the number of pulses, the travelling speed is calculated for the magnetic tape. Then the amplification factor is calculated for the detedtion sensitivity setting amplifier A2 based on a relating formula stored previously. Based on this amplification factor of the amplifier, the signals are delivered to give a selective ON to the 1stW6th switches S1W S6. A compensation is given to the amplification factor of the amplifier A2 according to the travelling speed of the magetic tape which varies according to the tape diameter of the take-up side reel. Thus the noise of the silent part is detected at a certain level and then applied to the 1st transistor Q1 to eliminate the malfunction.
