Abstract

PURPOSE: To produce a cold-rolled steel plate for working of superior surface quality in a short time, by quickly heating a low carbon cold-rolled steel plate or the like in a direct fire type heating furnace, soaking the same in a reducing atmosphere in a specific temp. range and further subjecting the same to over-aging treatment then pickling the plate, at the time of continuously annealing said steel plate.
CONSTITUTION: At the time of continuously annealing a low carbon cold rolled steel plate or the like, first the plate is preheated to ≤500°C by the waste gas of a direct fire furnace, after which it is quickly heated at high rates of 40W100°C/sec in mean heating rate at temperature above 400W500°C in the direct fire type heating furnace. At the same time, the atmosphere is controlled to keep the thickness of the oxide film formed at ≤1,000Å. Next, the plate is soaked for ≥10sec in a reducing atmosphere of >4% hydrogen concn. and <10°C dew point, in a temp. range of 700°CWAc3 transformation point. The plate is then subjected to over- aging treatment for ≤3min in a 300W550°C temp. range by performing gas-liquid cooling of 10W300°C/sec cooling rates by spraying of gas and water from the temp. ≥600°C down to near the over-aging treatment temp. After the secondary cooling, it is pickled, whereby the cold-rolled steel plate for working of good surface quality is produced.
