Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the efficiency of transmission lines by compressing a time blank part that a signal has and by inserting another signal into a free part. CONSTITUTION:An input signal has its blank time detected by circuit 6 that makes a difference between part of the signal passed through fixed delay circuit 5 and the other. The input signal, on the other hand, is inputted to variable delay circuit 2 by way of fixed delay circuit 13 with extremely long delay. Variable delay circuit 2 has the delay time controlled by processing part 7 that detects the blank time, and consequently a signal having the blank time eliminated by being compressed appears at its output. This signal is outputted after having codes, indicating a break and blank time inserted into the beginning of the part which should have been sectioned by blank originally. As a result, a redundant signal is made into blocks of signals of proper prescribed length and the blank time, put together, between blocks of respective signals is reusable.
